About Revived Spirits

The Full Story

My name is Mattni Becker. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wyoming and Montana. I have my Bachelors Degree in Equine Science.

My love for horses began when I was very young growing up on our family farm. During my college years I was in an extremely bad horse related accident that resulted in my back being broken in 5 places, a brain injury, a crushed lung, and internal bleeding. Despite the injuries being caused by a horse, my path to recovery was paved with hoof prints. My horses were instrumental in my healing journey both physically and mentally. A little over a year after my horse accident, there was another significant trauma in my life unrelated to horses that left me with PTSD. Horses were the reason my mind healed, my body found safety, and connection to life and all it had to offer became real again. These two incidents truly fueled my passion to offer equine and animal assisted therapy modalities to the public. I specialize in PTSD and Severe Trauma for individuals from all backgrounds. I also specialize in working with equestrians who have been involved in horse related accidents.

Revived Spirits is set on 45 rolling acres in the beautiful Wyoming prairie. When you arrive, the double doors will lead you into a cozy lobby and kitchen. Coffee, Tea, Hot Cider, Cocoa, or ice cold water is always available. There is a large classroom, 2 restrooms, an office, and a mud room. The mud room leads to our indoor arena with a heated tack room. Outside, we have two pastures, a stall barn, 2 round pens, corrals, and an outdoor arena. That is where you will find our herd of 9 therapy horsesThere is plenty of space to disconnect from the chaos, connect to nature, and begin healing.

Mattni Becker, LPC

I am the owner of Revived Spirits.

I have a bachelors degree in Equine Science and a Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wyoming and Montana.

I look forward to helping you on your healing journey!

Jazzy

Jazzy was my first horse and is the backbone of Revived Spirits and the inspiration behind starting this business. Her essence and spirit is everywhere.

She has passed on to greener pastures but I honor her through my work every day.

Forever grateful for this girl.

Thunder

Thunder is a mini pony. He is blind but lives a big and bold life here at Revived Spirits! He is used for therapy work.

Not to mention, he has a few children's books written about him. Be sure to look up Rusty's Remuda and find his books!

Delta

Delta embodies grace, beauty, and elegance. Her alert yet thoughtful demeanor provides wonderful opportunities for connection. She is used for therapy work.

Idgie

Idgie is a gentle giant. She stands at 16.3 hands tall and weights about 1500 pounds. She emits feelings of bravery, boldness, and strength. She is a horse utilized for therapy work.

Willow

Willow is sweet and sassy all rolled up into one! She is one of the horses utilized for both therapy work and equestrian coaching. She is an incredible confidence booster!

Reverend

Reverend is a mustang from Salt Wells Creek HMA. He was once just a number on a tag (can be seen in the photo). Today, he is a joyful, silly, fun loving spirit who always brings laughter into the room. He is a horse utilized for therapy work.

Mytor

Mytor is a Gypsy Vanner. His calm demeanor, curious personality, and curly mustache usually draws people in. Let alone all that hair! He is used in therapy work and the equestrian coaching program.

Daisy

Daisy is our sweet rescue mare. She was surrendered to the barn as an emaciated, crippled, elderly, pregnant mare.

She is beyond sweet and captured the hearts of so many immediately upon her arrival!

Currently, we are anxiously awaiting the birth of her foal!

Rae

Rae was my shadow. She was an extension of me out at the barn. If you listen closely her spirit can be heard as she floats across the sand.

Rae was an incredible dog. A healer. A protector.

She has crossed the rainbow bridge but will forever be a part of Revived Spirits.

Jacoby

Jacoby began his life in therapy work. He has been by my side since he was a 12 week old puppy. He is trained in decompression work and enjoys snuggling up on the couch with clients to provide reassurance and the occasional kiss!

Nellie

Nellie is a border collie puppy who brings ALL the life to the party! She is guaranteed to turn that frown upside down with her silly antics and wild energy.
